Connected to our Community
Over the last four decades, I’ve been an active member of our community. I’ve volunteered in multiple organisations Walton Tennis Club, Matamata Netball Centre, Matamata College Sports Club, the Indoor Sports & Recreation Hub, Plunket and many more.

Skills and Experience in Governance
I’ve spent the last decade supporting our communities with various organisations like AgRecovery Rural Recycling or the Agri-Womans Trust driving positive change in our district primary industry.
As an accredited hearings commissioner requiring an open mind, giving me the skills to separate opinion from fact, test evidence and operate within the policy. I’m a steady pair of hands, and with my governance training I can help navigate MPDC through uncertain times.
I've demonstrated my commitment while gaining deep, practical insights into council's complexities. My governance training and board chair experience have enabled me to lead our district through the uncertainties, changes and economic challenges of the past nine years.

Times have been tough and I feel the pain when costs go up. That’s why I’m laser-focused on delivering value for money, sticking to the basics and building for the future. Understanding the risks, we’re investing appropriately in core infrastructure. These upgrades ensure we’re future-proofed across the district.
